This has been a year full of uncertainty as the country begins to recover from one of the worst recessionary periods in our history. Many people have been so concerned about the future that they have put off purchases they might normally have made. Seguin Business people I’ve talked with make no bones about the fact that life for them is very unpredictable right now, but they are hopeful that the holiday season will bring people out and into their businesses. So, that’s my message for you. Before you hop on the highway to shop somewhere else, check around town first to see if that special something can be bought here. A gift purchased here puts money into our local economy instead of sending it somewhere else. And you won’t have to fight the crowds, the traffic, the long lines, and you’ll save gas. This is the place where I’d normally insert a holiday greeting, but it seems a little strange to do that before Thanksgiving, so you’ll just have to wait.
